Online information event for new students of Maastricht University

Are you a prospective student and interested in one of our bachelor's or master's programmes? We would like to offer you several (online) resources which can give you a feel of what it is like to study at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and provide you with some answers to questions you might have. Check out our information pages and sign up for one of our events.

Problem-Based Learning

Sometimes knowledge alone isn’t enough. In your career, you’ll need to be able to work independently, be assertive and solve problems. To prepare you for this, all FASoS programmes use the education model known as Problem-Based Learning (PBL).  Watch the video to see what our students say about this.

Need help?

Maastricht University (UM) does not tolerate any form of undesirable behaviour or unequal treatment. UM students who nevertheless encounter undesirable behaviour can contact a confidential counsellor.

Students that need help can go to the student guidance overview page to see who they can contact. They can also contact Wendy Geijen, the confidential advisor for students, directly.
